Papamoa Primary School

This vibrant mural at Pāpāmoa Primary School celebrates the school's five teams: Tūī, Whale, Taniwha, Seagulls and Tuatara, bringing them together in one colourful and meaningful design. Inspired by the school's connection to its local environment, the artwork features Tūhua Island, coastal pōhutukawa and harakeke, alongside flowing niho taniwha patterns representing the teeth of the taniwha.

The mural's bold colours, flowing shapes and layered details create a playful and engaging artwork that reflects the unique character of the school and its place within the Bay of Plenty. Every element has been thoughtfully incorporated to celebrate the people, place and stories that make Pāpāmoa Primary School special, creating a welcoming and vibrant space for students, staff and the wider school community.
