More about me and what inspires my work

I’m a mural artist based in the Bay of Plenty, NZ. I’m a mum of three boys, nature lover and big believer that our everyday spaces should feel joyful, colourful and inspiring.

Things I love + things that inspire my work

  • Aotearoa’s flora + fauna: native birds, botanicals, tiny creatures and all the beautiful details found in our own backyard.

  • COLOUR: bright, joyful, unexpected colour combinations. I want my murals to make people feel something when they walk past.

  • Nature: flowers, gardens, forests, beaches, walks and noticing all the little things along the way.

  • Creating a sense of wonder: hidden creatures, tiny details and artwork that gives you something new to discover each time you look at it.

  • People + their stories: I love getting to know the people behind a space and creating artwork that feels meaningful and unique to them.

  • My family: they’re a huge part of why I started this business — to build a creative life with more freedom, flexibility and time together.

  • Making BIG things: give me a blank wall, a scissor lift and a few tins of paint and I’m very happy.

  • Creating work that matters: whether it’s a school, hospital, business or public space, I love knowing my artwork will become part of a place and be enjoyed for years to come.

FAQ’s

  • After an initial discussion with a client about their mural, I can provide a pretty instant estimate cost for the project. Prices start at $200 per square meter. Determining factors include: interior vs exterior wall, whether working at heights equipment is required, and how complex the design is.

  • Dimensions of the wall, pictures of the wall, where you’re located, a general idea of what you envision for your mural.

  • YES! I am very open to travelling for mural work. I have a young family at home so I would need to have a discussion well in advance. Travel would be limited to 2-3 spaces per year!

  • I use high quality Resene Lumbersider exterior paint which is built to withstand harsh weather conditions. I painted a mural 8 years ago and it’s still in amazing condition. If it rains while I’m onsite, I’ll usually wait until it fines up!

  • I love working with businesses! We can incorprate logos, colour palette, company values and more to ensure the mural refects the brand and works with the space as a whole.

  • Once you get in touch, I’ll just need a few photos and the measurements of your wall. From there, we’ll chat about your ideas and the design brief. If you’re in the Bay of Plenty I’ll even pop by to see the space in person. Your first design draft will be ready in about a week, and once you’re happy with it, we’ll lock in painting dates. For walls under 20 square metres, the painting usually takes me about a week to complete!
