Who I Paint Murals For
School Murals
Creating murals for schools is about more than just painting walls, it’s about telling a story, reflecting culture, history, values, and transforming spaces in to meaningful visual experiences in a way that connects, brings joy and a sense of belonging for teachers, students and the community.
Home Exteriors
A mural can transform an ordinary outdoor surface into something beautiful, whether it's a brick wall, retaining wall, shipping container, fence, or façade. I paint murals that complement your home and landscape, adding beauty, personality, and a sense of connection to the spaces you see and enjoy every day.
Cafes + Restaurants
A mural can completely shift the atmosphere of a cafe or a restaurant, creating wow factor and shaping how someone feels from the moment they walk in. I create artworks that add warmth and personality while considering branding and bigger picture flow with the environment.
Business + Office Spaces
A mural can add so much energy and creativity to a workplace, shaping how employees, clients, and visitors experience your space. From organisations such as Acorn Foundation and Waipuna Hospice to businesses including Sub10 Gym, Fernland Spa, and Downtown Tauranga, their murals reflect brand, values, and culture while transforming ordinary walls into something people will remember.
Kids’ bedrooms
A child’s room is their first little world and a mural can make it feel a little bit magic. I design playful, personal, custom murals in collaboration with the family and result is a room that feels truly special to the child.
Public Artworks
Public art is about more than painting walls - it's about telling the stories. I work closely with communities, councils, organisations, and mana whenua to create culturally significant murals that celebrate local identity, strengthen connection, invite people to engage and take photos, and leave a lasting legacy.
Let’s collaborate!
Kind Words
“Millie was curious about us and what we envisioned. She communicated clearly about the process and timelines and encouraged feedback of her design to make sure we were happy. Her prices were more than fair and she delivered more than just a product - our murals are a showcase of our school and community and bring us joy every day. Every aspect of working with Millie was professional and fun.”
Michaela WebbSpringdale School Principal“Millie completed a stunning mural for us. The mural is a reflection of our local area, it weaves in our river and The Mount perfectly. Millie was a pleasure to deal with, the perfect professional and her artistry is breathtaking. The final product is even better than the concept she presented. We would recommend her services to everyone.”
Ross McLeod
Waipuna Hospice
“Millie painted the most beautiful mural for our office at The Acorn Foundation. She finished the massive job in just 5 days and it was therapeutic to watch her paint. She is such a professional and a talented artist. Right from the design to the execution everything was seamless. From painting to finishing touches, everything was neat and tidy. We can’t recommend her enough!”

After an initial discussion with a client about their mural, I can provide a pretty instant estimate cost for the project. Prices usually range between $160 per square metre and $280 per square metre. Determining factors include: interior vs exterior wall, whether working at heights equiptment is required, and how complex the design is.
-
Dimensions of the wall, pictures of the wall, where you’re located, a general idea of what you envision for your mural.
-
YES! I am very open to travelling for mural work. I have a young family at home so I would need to have a discussion well in advance. Travel would be limited to 2-3 spaces per year!
-
I use high quality Resene Lumbersider exterior paint which is built to withstand harsh weather conditions. I painted a mural 8 years ago and it’s still in amazing condition. If it rains while I’m onsite, I’ll usually wait until it fines up!
-
I love working with businesses! We can incorprate logos, colour palette, company values and more to ensure the mural refects the brand and works with the space as a whole.

Once you get in touch, I’ll just need a few photos and the measurements of your wall. From there, we’ll chat about your ideas and the design brief. If you’re in the Bay of Plenty I’ll even pop by to see the space in person. Your first design draft will be ready in about a week, and once you’re happy with it, we’ll lock in painting dates. For walls under 20 square metres, the painting usually takes me about a week to complete!
