Private Residence - Ngongotahā

Created for a private family home in Ngongotahā, this mural sits at the entrance of the home, offering a meaningful and personal welcome into the space.

The design is inspired by the natural surroundings just beyond the walls, featuring a tūī often seen resting among the harakeke outside. Three butterflies are delicately woven throughout the composition, each representing a member of the family—adding a layer of symbolism and connection to the piece.

Thoughtfully designed to complement the home’s interior décor, existing artwork, and surrounding views, the mural brings a sense of harmony between inside and out. Soft, organic elements and gentle movement create a calm and inviting atmosphere on arrival.

This was a deeply special piece to create in collaboration with the family, reflecting their story through nature in a way that feels both personal and timeless.
